Trick or Treat

29 Sep

What’s up with the pomp and circumstance around Halloween? Starting about a month ago, people at Little Miss’s daycare started asking me what she was going to be for Halloween.

Cripes, I don’t know. I hadn’t really planned on dressing up my 8 month old. She can’t eat candy anyways.

But I’m starting to discover that once you’re a parent, even if you kid doesn’t have the foggiest clue what Halloween is, it is REALLY IMPORTANT. It is something to plan for and to talk about for MONTHS in advance.

So, I caved in. I called up a friend and asked to borrow her daughter’s costume from last Halloween. So, if she can find it, I guess Little Miss is going to be a bird for Halloween. If not, perhaps she’ll go as Redneck Baby. Afterall, I’m not so into Halloween that I’d actually bother spending money on a costume!
